Richard D. Crist
Richard D. Crist is the Chief Operating Officer of Whitinger & Company, one of Indiana's Top 50 Accounting Practices and one of East Central Indiana's most respected accounting and advisory firms. He is an accomplished executive leader and consultant with a strong portfolio of business development successes. Richard has nearly twenty years of experience working with clients of all sizes in dozens of industries. His management experience includes building and leading teams that have set numerous industry standards.
Prior to his role at Whitinger & Company, Richard founded and operated Waymaker Consulting, an independent business development firm in Muncie, Indiana. Previous to that, he also served in the capacity of President of a multi-media company where he earned the reputation as an innovative leader with the ability to attract top talent and build high-performing, high-character teams. In addition to leading the daily operations of the organization, he developed numerous new business opportunities that expanded the company's revenue base and service offerings.
Richard was named LEAD-ECI Executive Director in March 2009. In this role he works closely with the organization's board of directors to accomplish the mission of the organization. He is responsible for creating vision and advancing the institute forward in meaningful ways. "This opportunity with LEAD-ECI combines two areas I have tremendous passion for, Leadership and Organizational Development", commented Crist.
